Meet Gassy Jack, our hero and mascot for the ETHGas community. He’s a friendly, slightly mischievous donkey with… well, a lot of gas! In fact, we’re all a bit like Gassy Jack, navigating the world of Web3 and spending a fortune on gas just to get by.
Gassy Jack is tired of living in a polluted, gassy world. He dreams of a future where transactions are smooth, efficient, and affordable—a #GaslessFuture. He has a plan to escape, but he can’t do it alone.
How We Escape: The Legend of the Beanstalk
Gassy Jack’s escape plan starts with a single, magical bean. By planting this first bean, you become a founding member of the community, committed to helping him grow a massive beanstalk that will carry him—and all of us—to a better world.

Here’s how it works:
- Plant Your Bean: Join the ETHGas Community by connecting your X account, this plants your first bean and earns you your first 10 points (we call them Beans! 🫛).
- Help it Grow: Every quest you complete and every friend you refer adds nutrients to the soil, helping the beanstalk grow taller and stronger. More growth means more Beans for you and a faster, further climb for Jack!
- Climb into the Future: Each chapter of our community program represents new heights or a new stage of growth. We’ll start by building our foundation together, and soon, Jack will climb high enough to reach a "Breath of Fresh Air"—a new vantage point where he can finally analyze his own "gassy composition" (an insightful gas anlaytics report) and identify what's been holding him back.
